Rate- $109.00 + tax/night(Standard double bed room)

We recommend you reserve rooms Friday- Sunday and cancel the nights you don’t need once we find out which day the dancers perform. Cancellations must be made prior to 6pm on arrival date. We typically don’t find out until the week prior to the competition. You do not need to stay at the same hotel. This is just an option.

Competition Fees-
Reminder that $30 competition fees for Headliners are due February 15th and Starsystem fees are due March 21st! This a fee that the competition charges. You don’t pay this, you don’t compete.

Every year the UMD dance team puts on a performance for all surrounding dance studio and dance teams to come and perform. This helps them raise money for them to compete at nationals. Our very own Lauren Anderson is a part of the team…lets go and support her!

ALL COMPETITION TEAM INFORMATION
Competition is a great way for children to learn!
Children learn what competition truly means, at Elite Dance Productions we promote competition as a great learning experience not solely on winning top awards; instead we promote children to do the best they can and to use their talents to the best of their abilities. To be proud of who they are and their talents. We feel we have accomplished a great competitor when children get off stage and feel they have done the best they can and are happy about their performance. Children learn how to compete respectfully and to always encourage other dancers, not only on their teams but also to encourage their competitors. Children learn the importance of practicing; ultimately working hard for what they desire not only in dance but everything they do in life. Children learn constructive criticism in a positive environment; as well as develop courage and confidence just by getting up in front of judges on stage where they may not develop this type of confidence any where else.

Elite Dance Productions offers competitive dance classes to the dancer who is more committed to learning about the dance world on a competitive level. We have 5 competition teams that vary in the level of ability and commitment. So even for the dancers who want to experience competition but don't want to commit to a lot of hours a week, we can still provide the experience. Dancers are always required to tryout for the competition teams and are placed on the proper team based on their level of commitment and abilities.

COMPETITION TEAMS:

INTENSIVE TEAMS - 2 INTENSE TEAMS - intermediate/advanced
SENIOR ELITE LINE
TEEN ELITE LINE
These teams are for the more committed dancers who spend many hours a week at Elite Dance Productions working on technique and choreography of many dance disciplines and styles. These dancers are required to compete at 2 competitions a year and attend 1 out of the dance center workshop held in the Cities. These dancers are also required to attend all Elite Dance Productions intensive workshops and camps held throughout the year. They are required to perform 2 group dances in choreography and music of instructors choice. They may also have the privileges of dancing as a soloist or in a duet/trio number.

HIP-HOP COMPETITION TEAMS -2 HIP-HOP TEAMS - intermediate/advanced
ELITE HIP-HOP TEAM
GOLD HIP-HOP TEAM
These teams are for the dancers who only are interested in hip - hop or just want to experience competition and usually decide to tryout for a more intense team the following year. These groups are only required to compete at 1 competition and we highly recommend they attend 1 out of dance center workshop and Elite Dance Productions intensive workshops and camps. Dancers dance to more up beat, fun appropriate music of instructors choice.

COMPETITION YOUNG BEGINNERS - 1 COMPETITION TEAM - beginner
PETITE ELITE LINE
This competition team is for our beginners who are just beginning their competition career at an early age. They are only required to take 2 hours of class a week combining ballet, jazz and tap techniques and choreography. These dancers are required to attend 1 competition and highly recommend they begin going to out of dance center workshops and Elite Dance Productions intensive workshops and camps. Dancers may compete with 2 group numbers ballet and tap to instructors choreography and age appropriate music. Depending on dancers level of practice commitment they may do only 1 dance throughout the year.
