Competitive Tap Instructor/Choreographer
Ashley Thompson was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and has 29 years of dance experience in Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Ballet. She received the majority of her training from Royal Dance in Minneapolis and has competed at countless dance competitions across the United States and Canada. Ashley also had the privilege of dancing with the University of Wisconsin – River Falls dance team during her undergraduate education and the University of New Brunswick Dance Team during her graduate education (with which she was captain of both).
Ashley has also been provided several opportunities to instruct and choreograph for several dance studios including Royal Dance and QC Dance in the Twin Cities, Dance Fredericton in eastern Canada, and Footworks Dance Company in Wisconsin. This will be Ashley’s third year as an instructor and choreographer with Elite Dance Productions and is looking forward to another spectacular year!

Nicole “Nik” Humes has been a part of the EDP teaching staff for 5 years. Born and raised in Hermantown, MN, she has been dancing for over 20 years and teaching dance for 10. She began competitive dance at the age of 8, winning many high point, overall, and special awards at dance competitions around MN.
Some of her standout achievements as a competitive dancer include being crowned Miss Thrive 2009, given a most distinguished performer award, and being invited to participate in PowerPak. She has performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and participated at PowerPak in Orlando, FL. Nik has also take countless classes at conventions with well known artists in Chicago and New York including: Sonya Tayeh, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, and Derrick Schrader.
She was on the UMD Dance Team for 4 years and team captain for 2 years. Her senior year as captain she led the dance team to it’s first National Championship in Daytona Beach, FL.
She has worked as an instructor and choreographer with dancers of all levels ages 2-18. On the competitive level, she has choreographed high point and top overall category winning routines and has received several choreography awards. She is excited to have another successful season at EDP!

Stefanie Amick has been with the EDP staff for 4 years instructing both recreational and competition level. . Stefanie began her dance training in 1992 at The Main Pointe in Wilmar, MN. She studied seventeen years of dance in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, high kick, hip hop and modern. She began teaching and choreographing at The Main Pointe in 2004 with students ranging in the ages of 3-16. Stefanie really enjoys teaching and having the opportunity to watch dancers grow and develop a passion for dance. She strives to stay outgoing and making classes fun while keeping structure in dance class for dancers to continue motivational learning. IStefanie also has 2 daughters who she gets to to share her passion of dance with, Hadley and Ayla.
Courtney has been dancing since the age of 2 years old. She began competing at the age of 6 at a local studio in Duluth, MN. As a competitive dancer, she won many high placements, overalls, and special awards.
Because of her great leadership skills, she was asked to be a Teaching Assistant for 6 years of her studio dancing career. Courtney was also on the Duluth Marshall Dance Team, where they consecutively won 2 state championships.
After graduating high school, Courtney instructed competition-level dancers at a local studio in Duluth. Her routines received several high scores, overalls, and she won 2 choreography awards.
She was most recently a coach for the Duluth East Varsity Dance Team. She has had the pleasure to coach our fellow EDP dancers Alayna McGraw and Audrey Olson.
Alexis will be going into her 3rd year of working in our office. Alexis is currently attending Lake Superior College in pursuing her associates degree in nursing. Alexis enjoys working in the dance world as she spent most of her childhood dancing as her mother Ann Walker co-owns EDP.

Alayna McGraw is new to our teaching staff and has been dancing with us for fourteen years, twelve of which she danced competitively. She has competed twelve solos over the years and has won numerous judges choice, standout dancer, and high point awards at regional and national competitions. She was also a student teacher at Elite for many years.
Alayna graduated from Duluth East High School. While in high school, she was on the Duluth East Dance Team for three years and was a team captain her junior and senior years. She was also on the choreography team all three years of dance team. She is now attending the University of Minnesota Duluth where she will major in Exercise Science and dance on the UMD Dance Team.

Haley Gales is from Duluth, MN and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has danced for Just For Kix and Elite. She became a competitive dancer in 2012 and continued until she graduated from Proctor High School in 2018. Haley is now attending the University of Minnesota Duluth and is currently pursuing a minor in dance. She also continued dancing in college as a member of Attitudes Dance Association.
Bradley Boleman has been dancing since he was 5 years old. He has trained at several studios. He dance competitively 12-18 thru the Midwest attending competitions, conventions, and nationals winning several top placements, titles, and special awards. He started to choreograph at the age of 15 and has since worked with over 40+ studios, teams, high schools, colleges, and conventions. He at the age of 19 right after graduating high school moved to LA to pursue a career of dance. While there he was a part of the Edge Performing Arts Center scholarship program under the direction of Bill Prudich and Randy Allaire. He has received top training from some of the most sought out choreographers and teachers in the industry. He was signed to Go 2 Talent Agency and has since worked several jobs from commercials, Disney projects, music videos, movies, and live stage performances. Elite Dance Productions holds a special place in his heart as he has been choreographing and working with Ann + Teresa for the past 8 years seeing them flourish with there studio. The environment is professional, yet very family friendly and focused on the positive aspects the kids need in order to succeed! Bradley is always thankful to get the chance to share his passion with such an amazing dance family. EDP!
Teresa, born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, has over 21 years of extensive dance training in jazz, lyrical, modern, ballet and tap. With her fast excelling talent she was invited to compete starting at the age of 7, at some of the most respected dance competitions held in the U.S, winning many various awards. At Dance Olympus she has taken champion solo overall awards. In addition to her competitive edge, she has accomplished many of her goals set for herself, including traveling the U.S. as a Dance Olympus VIP, in 1999. Some other highlights in her career include traveling to Hawaii with NCA cheerleading association. As Teresa matured as a dancer, she knew dance would be her life, along with competing she began her teaching career at the age of 16. Teaching children of all ages and levels, sharing her love of dance and her own styles with them. In addition to her studio training, she continued her dance education through various workshops taught by dance masters from all around the world. Some of her favorites are Dance Olympus, Tremaine and L.A. Danceforce. Locally, Teresa has also trained at UMD’s Dance Department and was invited to choreograph UMD’s dance team competition routine in 2005; her explosive choreography helped the team win 3rd at the regional competition held in Minneapolis, MN, qualifying them for nationals.
For many years Teresa has taught and choreographed for many young dancers at a local dance studio before Elite Dance Productions. She has helped many of these dancers win various high point and specialty awards with her highly respected fresh and unique choreography at many competitions such as; Showstoppers, Dance Olympus, Starquest, Showbiz and Starpower to name a few. Teresa is a firm believer in keeping her dance education up to date, so she can provide fresh and new innovating dance techniques and styles for her students. She feels blessed to be able to work with children every day doing what she loves to do and sharing her love for the living art form. DANCE!!! It is her true passion in life, and looks forward every day to the new adventures it always has to offer.
Ann, a lifelong Duluthian born in 1977, is very proud and excited to share with the Northland her extensive dance training background. She was introduced to dance at the age of 5 and at the age of 12, knew she wanted to claim a professional dance career. To accomplish her goals she began basically living at the studio, student teaching and training extensively in classical ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, lyrical and tap techniques. Under the instruction of Paula Parendo-Carlson, West Duluth Dance Center “Home of the Electric Youth Dancers” she started her competition career. Later on, West Duluth Dance Center became Dance Escape Dance Studio under the directors, Nikki Fena and Jennifer Anderson she continued competing at the most prestigious dance competitions, such as; Showbiz, Dance Olympus, Showstoppers, Starpower, Starquest and Statewide. At these competitions she claimed many first, platinum, top high point and specialty awards for her dance execution and choreography, which qualified her to travel to Las Vegas, New York, Los Angles and Florida for Nationals. She choreographed for the well known Duluth Denfelds Solid Gold performances for their production of High School Musical and The Beat Goes On. She also conducted a two day intensive for the East High School JV and Varsity Dance Team, Denfeld Dance Team and Cloquet Dance Team. Her choreography, a lyrical duet performed to “Hanging By A Thread” received at the National Competitive Division for Celebration Talent 1st Overall High Score winners of all competing routines.
In addition to her successful competition career, Ann still loves to attend workshops and conventions. Her favorites include LA Danceforce and the Gus Giordano Jazz Dance World Congress, where she has trained (and continues) with some of the worlds top choreographers and dance masters such as; Gus Giordano, Nan Giordano, Tremaine, Frank Hatchett, and many more at various workshops! One of her most memorable dance credentials includes auditioning for the American All-Star Dance/Drill Team where she traveled to Vienna, Austria and there was picked to perform in the Super Bowl. Over the years she realized her true passion lives within the art of dance technique training and has a gift of encouraging her students to work to the best of their abilities in dance class and outside of the classroom. Already, Ann has touched the lives of many young dancers in Duluth, and has helped them reach their goals as dancers by giving them great technique and providing them with unique and exciting choreography helping them win various awards at competitions. Ann is effective and proficient in training many and the most popular forms of dance disciplines and makes her continued education a top priority! She focuses on traditional and most recent dance training techniques from the West and East Coast styles while incorporating her unique and fresh style. Giving every dancer she instructs great knowledge and material to be creative, self-expressive and confident as they grow and learn their favorite styles of dance.
